History
Tropical Writers began as an informal gathering of a handful of writers in 2004. It has now grown to an active membership numbering more than 30 writers of all genre.

2006 - 1st Tropical Writers anthology ‘Between the Leaves’ published
2007 - 2nd Tropical Writers anthology ‘Mangoes on Fire’ published
2008 - 3rd Tropical Writers anthology ‘Raining on the Sun’ published
2008 - Inaugural Tropical Writers Festival
2009 - Literary Lunch with Nigel Krauth
2009 - Tropical Writers involved with the inaugural Yungaburra Book Fair
2010 - Inaugural ‘Writers on the Waterfront’ (Festival Cairns) with James Phelan
2010 - 2nd Tropical Writers Festival - opened by Premier Anna Bligh
2010 - 4th Tropical Writers anthology ‘Cracks in the Canopy’ published
